ABOUT US
Traditions Rising is a traditional country band/duo out of Northern Alabama. Founded in 2019 Traditions Rising consists of husband and wife duo John and Rachel Harris of Arab, AL and has performed over 500 shows since their debut. They have performed all over Alabama, as well as in Georgia and Tennessee.
June 10,2023: Traditions Rising opened for the Legendary Bellamy Brothers.
JULY 23.2023: TRADITIONS RISING WAS VOTED "2023 BAMA Country Band of the Year at the 9th Annual Alabama Music Awards.
John Harris
Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Bass
Guitarist and founder of Traditions Rising John Harris performed and toured with several gospel groups beginning at the age of 16 and has over 30 years experience playing guitar and performing on a wide variety of stages. John is a bassist as well and one day hopes to learn to play a Steel guitar.

Vocalist Rachel Harris joined Traditions Rising in 2020. Since her debut she has taken the independent music world by storm. She was voted “2022 Bama Country Female Artist of the Year” at the 8th Annual Alabama Music Awards and was nominated for “Traditional Country Vocalist of the Year” at the 8th Annual Josie Music Awards held last October at the Grand Ol Opry in Nashville, TN. (The Josie Music Awards is largest most respected independent music awards globally.)
