We are pleased to announce that Traditons Rising lead vocalist Rachel Harris was nominated for "Femal COuntry Vocalist of the Year" at the 10th Annual Josie Music Awards.
Wards will be held in October at the Grand Ol Opry House in Nashville, TN. This is Rachel's 3rd year in a row to be nominated for this award show.

August 11, 2023 at 4:09 pm EDTHUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - The country music band Traditions Rising won the award for Bama County Band of the Year at the 9th Annual Alabama Music Awards.
Traditions Rising was nominated for Bama Country Band of the Year and Vocalist Rachel Harris was nominated for Bama Country Female Artist of the Year, the same award won by Rachel last year at the 8th Annual Alabama Music Awards. The Alabama Music Awards are voted on by the public from April to June each year. Traditions Rising Guitarist John Harris and vocalist Rachel Harris accepted the award for the band, and later that evening went on to perform an acoustic version of “Kansas City” during the Live Awards Show.
For the second year in a row, Rachel was nominated for Female Traditional Country Vocalist of the Year” at the 9th Annual Josie Music Awards that will be held October 22 in Nashville. Out of 59,019 submissions this year, Rachel was in the 2.5% chosen for this prestigious award.

Traditons Rising atteneded the 9th Annual Alabama Music Awards at the Bessimer Civic Center on Sunday July 23rd. The Band had recived a nomination for "BAMA Country Band of the Year" along with Vocalist Rachel Harris, voted "2022 BAMA Country Female Artist of the Year" last year, was nominated for a second year for the same category.
The votes were counted and it was announced Sunday evening live that Traditions Rising had won "2023 BAMA Country Band of the Year." Traditions Rising Guitarist John Harris along with wife and Vocalist Rachel Harris accepted the award on behalf of the band.
The duo, during their live performance of "Kansas City" on the main stage at the awards, thanked all the Traditions Rising band members for their contrabutions and the fans for their votes.

Traditons Rsing Headlines 49th annual Poke Salat Festival
Arab’s Poke Salat Festival Today May 20, 2023 (The Advisor Gleam)
Arab’s annual Poke Salat Festival is today (Saturday) The festival is from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. in downtown Arab and features entertainment, arts crafts, food vendors and of course, poke salat. Granny’s Corner will be serving Poke Salat. “For 39 years, the festival has been blessed by members of this community who have generously donated bags of poke weed leaves harvested from where it’s growing wild in their yards,” said organizer Dawn Sparks.
Entertainment will be provided by: • Brindlee Mountain High School Pep Band; • Members of the Brindlee Mountain High School Choir; • Arab High School Jazz Band. Main stage performances are: • Misti & Louie, 2:30-4 p.m. This duo from the band Mudbone Willie bring a show filled with blues and R&B to the Festival. • Traditions Rising, 4:30-6 p.m. Traditions Rising is a traditional country music band who perform all your favorites. Lead singer and Arab resident Rachel Harris won the 2022 Bama Country Music Vocalist of the year award, and she and the band are both nominated again this year!
